Fancy Shmancy

I was at the Bell Museum of Natural History yesterday. It was quite nice and natural (I didn't see much history) and there was a big snake that made me want to speak Parseltongue. Anyway, on the top floor, tucked into the back corner that you could only get to by going through a small sketchy hallway was an art gallery. I'm not an art critic, but I will tell you I was unimpressed. However, it appears these two visitors enjoyed it much more than I.

Fancy as hell indeed, my good friend.

That Sets a Good Example...

I was just reading the local paper, and saw an article about a senior boy on the basketball team who was only the fifth guy in school history to reach 1,000 career points.

Included was a picture of him kissing his youngest sister, who might be 2 or 3 years old.

And I was thinking, "Aw, how cute!" Until I remembered who I was talking about; the guy who sits in class all day saying "Damn, I need a blowjob."

..How endearing.

I wonder, if when Little Sister grows up, if she'll see her brother as an athlete and a good role model, or the guy who "had a thing" with a freshman girl solely for the fact that she'd probably put out. And everyone knows it but her, as she thinks he likes her because she's her. She does think she's hot shit, so I guess it's understandable. And children learn from example, as her mother is known to frequently use the line "Don't you know who I am?! I'm [name redacted]!"

Like that means anything to anyone. You just keep threatening to put her in a private school and save us all the trouble of dealing with you. You're not the only person with money in this town, you're just the only person who thinks it makes you better than everyone else.

But hey, high school is high school, I suppose, and virgins are as rare as unicorns these days.

Anywho

I started this blog in procrastination, and that is how I return to it. Leave it to me to not do homework until 5:30 the night before classes resume.

But at least I'm consistent, right?

Anyway, as I'm working on things I need to get done at some point, my dad feels the need to inform that he's booked a Caribbean cruise. For him and my mum. THAT really makes me want to keep working.

On the bright side, spring training, yeah? So at least I have that. Not that I needed anything else to do well I'm not doing what I should be doing.

Also, lists intrigue me. I think I'll make more of them.

I Have

I went to the dentist this morning, and as I was laying there looking at the flat screen TV's they have attached to the ceiling, complete with plastic spit guards in case anyone really could expectorate that high while someones hand is in there mouth, I realized that, relative to some things, I am in the dentist's office a lot. There are lots of things I have been in a lot, and not as many things I have never been in. So I made a list;

I'm sure there's more, but I'm preoccupied by how my teeth feel sticky and clean at the same time.

Spin Right 'Round

Okay, so, I feel like this is really cool. I like space and you should too. The rotation of the planets shown in one helpful moving diagram. Includes both the Copernican theory, along with the sadly mistaken theory of Tycho Brahe. Pretty spiffy.
